MOMENT:

Rising as a crystalline structure, emerging from the remnants of the former fortress walls, the proposal forges a cultural microcosm. The original walls retain their role as protective boundaries, while the new building is conceptualised with a minimal footprint, affording ample outdoor space for events, exhibitions, and workshops. The ground floor houses public amenities like the café and lobby, allowing the area to remain animated and curious.

The structure is set apart from the historic walls, connected by a preserved and reimagined wall-walk that uses lighting as a scenographic element to accentuate the materiality of the original fabric. Overlapping volumes create a dynamic journey through the building, offering diverse levels and perspectives. A sculpture garden weaves through, integrating art with the landscape and celebrating the interplay between the past and present.
